The senior engineer you don't have yet

ZenLoaf is a small software studio in Brooklyn, led by a former VP of Engineering at a Series C startup. We help founders decide what to build, build it to hold up with real users, and fix apps built fast with AI tools.

Health check: a booking app built with an AI tool

Fix before launch
Any signed-in user can download everyone's bookings, names and phone numbers. The database has no access rules. Adding them takes an afternoon.
Fix before launch
Checkout trusts the price the browser sends, so someone could pay $1 for a $90 class. The server should look the price up itself.
Fix before launch
The Stripe secret key is in the page's code, where anyone can copy it. Move it to the server and replace the key today.
Fix soon
Nothing reports errors. The first you'll hear of a crash is from a customer.
Leave alone
Sign-up, booking and the design all hold up. Don't let anyone talk you into rebuilding them.

Verdict: repair it. About two weeks of work.

AI tools write code that works in the demo.

That is fine for showing an idea, but once real people sign up and pay you, someone needs to check how the app handles their logins, their data and their money.

How we work with you

Every project starts with a free 30-minute call. What happens next depends on whether you're starting from an idea or from an app you've already built.

You have an idea

And no engineer to tell you what to build first.

Scoping
A clickable prototype and a fixed priceWe work out what to build first and what to leave out, and you leave with something you can tap through. The fee comes off the build.

You built it with AI

It worked in the demo. Real users found the gaps. That's normal, and fixable.

Health check
A written report and a straight answerWe read the code, test the parts that handle logins, data and money, and tell you whether to repair it or rebuild it. The fee comes off the fix.

Fix sprint
Make it holdLogins, data access, payments, error tracking and tests on the parts that take money.

After launch

Someone who knows your code and helps you decide what to build next. A fractional CTO who also ships.

The studio

One person does the work, from the first call to after launch. You talk to the engineer who writes your code, not an account manager.

Poe Myint Swe

Poe Myint Swe

Founder and engineer

Poe started as a mobile engineer at 99.co in Singapore and ended up running engineering there. 99.co is a Series C property marketplace, and her team grew to more than 40 people across Singapore and Indonesia. In between, she worked on an anti-fraud SDK at Shield, and later she took a product of her own from zero to its first version.

She builds with AI coding tools every day and teaches founders to do the same. In the studio now: an education game that teaches people to build with AI agents, and two open-source Claude Code plugins, Co-researcher and Clarity & Grace.

Head of hospitality

Calico, five years old. Sits in on every call, and eats her sister's food, which the studio does not endorse.

Questions founders ask

How much does it cost to build an MVP with ZenLoaf?
Scoping takes 3–5 days and starts at $1,500, and the fee comes off the build. The build itself takes 6–12 weeks and starts at $30,000. You get a fixed price after scoping, before any build work begins.
Can you fix an app I built with an AI tool?
Yes. A health check takes 3–5 days and costs $2,500. You get a written report and a straight answer on whether to repair or rebuild, and the fee comes off the fix. Fix sprints take 2 weeks and start at $8,000.
Do I own the code?
Yes. The code is yours.
What happens after launch?
Support starts at $3,000 a month: a few hours a week of fixes, small features, and a second opinion before you hire or sign anything technical.
